Couples that are unable to conceive a child on their own, whether due to medical issues or in the case of same sex couples, may turn to a fertility doctor or reproduction clinic for help. There are variety of services provided by the clinics which require the patients to utilize the services of an attorney to either draft or review agreements.

Attorney Zoila Pimentel handles the drafting or review of sperm donor, egg donor, and surrogate agreements. Reproduction clinics generally require these
agreements, drafted by an attorney, to be signed prior to performing the requested medical procedures. A collaboration between medical professionals and attorneys can assist a couple in determining the best option for them.

Once a child is born through a successful medical intervention and reproductive agreement, there may be additional legal proceedings to be held in Court, such as establishing the legal parentage of a child carried by a surrogate.
